Almaz, brocade and pearls

Hrir brocade over a silk satin lining, hand tarz in white stones and pearls, sfifa by the maâlem. A haute couture caftan, to keep, or to wear for one evening.

Almaz, its neckline worked in white pearls and stones, in a lantern-lit Granada courtyard

Almaz is cut in hrir brocade, the silk cloth whose pattern is woven into it rather than printed on it. Beneath it, a delicate lining in silk satin lets the caftan fall softly and move with the body.

Tarz in white stones and pearls

The neckline and the cuffs are worked by hand in tarz: white stones and pearls set one by one, so that the light gathers where the caftan frames the face and the hands. Along the opening, the sfifa is braided by the maâlem.

Thin where it can be, weighted where it must be.

The belt

The belt is also made by hand. It brings the brocade in at the waist and gives the silhouette its line, adding elegance and definition.

To keep, or for one evening

Almaz can be bought, at €400, or rented, at €150, for a wedding or a celebration. Rental is available in Spain only; dates and conditions are agreed with the atelier before the event.

Cut to your measurements

Almaz comes in S, M and L, or made to measure. Your measurements travel with your order, and the atelier confirms them with you before cutting.
