Qamaré, haute couture by hand
Hajj Omar Hriri, French lace, crêpe and Mombra velvet, worked by the maâlem in the basam hor technique. A Moroccan haute couture caftan, made one at a time.

Some caftans are made for every day. Qamaré is made for the evenings that are remembered. It is a Moroccan haute couture caftan, and every material in it was chosen to hold its line for years.
Four materials
The caftan is cut in 100% Hajj Omar Hriri: flowers in lilac, turquoise and ink on an ivory ground, crossed with gold thread. Beneath it, French lace and crêpe. Along the opening, a band of 100% Mombra velvet in deep purple frames the lace.
Basam hor, by the maâlem
Qamaré is made by the maâlem in the artisanal basam hor technique, and finished with a fine, delicate sfifa that follows the neckline and the front. The braid gives the caftan its structure and its couture finish.

A caftan is not designed. It is remembered.
A name and a place
Its name echoes qamar, the Arabic word for the moon. We photographed it in late afternoon light, under the arcades of a Granada courtyard.
Made to measure
Qamaré is €550. It comes in S, M and L, or made to measure. Your measurements travel with your order, and the atelier confirms them with you before cutting.
